We meet both in-person inside the University Writing Center and on Zoom. Sessions are 2 hours and consist of 25-minute work blocks with 5-minute breaks in between to help writers maximize productivity during the two hours. New writers are always welcome so stop in any time, we'd love to see you!

The Research Essay workshop is designed for undergraduate international students who may be struggling with the American academic system. The goal is to raise awareness that the Writing Center is here to help navigate this system.

The workshop aims to assist students in getting started with their midterm and final research papers. It will cover:
  • Planning
  • Structuring
  • Writing
By the end of the session, students will feel more confident in approaching their research essays.
This workshop is open to students taking general education classes. While majors may vary, the focus is on assisting students from all disciplines. Research essays will cover a wide range of subjects as students encounter essays across different fields.
